Are You Ready For a Disaster?

A few years ago, Rick Reinholz, Service Manager for ESG, received a call that the phone system at the office had gone down.  As he was being briefed on the alerts that had come from the Enterprise(i) monitoring system, he witnessed a tornado whirl down his own street.

Reinholz and the rest of the ESG team worked through the night and, thanks to a quality disaster recovery (DR) plan, they were able to have the system running shortly after the disaster.

-          Be sure to test batteries and back up batteries

-          Make sure you perform ground testing and make sure your analog trunks are grounded

-          Verify circuits are dedicated and not shared
